Important Note: Some crisis hotlines and organizations will contact the police or call 911 without your consent. The intentions are often to "save more lives" but unfortunately may cause marginalized communities to experience police violence, forced hospitalization, lack of gender-affirming medical treatment, criminalization, deportation and other serious harm. We have called out which resources do NOT call 911 or the police below.
